Universal Pictures distribute the film 'The Perfect Man' which is aimed at a similar audience though has a different type of storyline being that its about a family relationships. Were as my film looks into the relationship between friendship 'The Perfect Man' touches on this which is why I think that this company might distribute my film. Being that I found that distribute a wide rang of film genre and styles.This is why I fill that they might distribute my film. Universal Pictures would be a good institution to distribute my film as I fill that they have a well know name and would be get my film to a wide audience.Universal Studios was found in 1912 and products and distribute different genres of film from 'Love Actually' to 'Duplicity'. Universal became NBC Universal formed in May 2004 by combining with General Electric's NBC with Vivendi Universal Entertainment. Are is also a theme park for Universal and different consumer goods for the films which means that it would be good synergy for the film through having it distributed through this company.
The other institution that I through might distribute my film was Paramount Pictures they distribute teen films such as 'Pretty in Pink', 'Mean Girls' and 'The Prince and Me'. These film appeal and were target at the same audience. I include elements from these film which are stereotypical for this genre such as the location these film being set in a school which is where I set my film. These film look at the relationship between boyfriends and frienads which is a simalr to the plot line of my film. Through this would make my fit in with in the gener and apeal to my audience but if my film was relsead with other film simalr then my film migth not stand out to the audience.Paramount Pictures was found in 1912 and is own by Viacom. This studio is the oldest America film studio existing. Also the last major film studio still headquarteres in Hollwwods and is consistently ranked as one of the top-grossing movie studios. This is why I think that it would be a good stuido to distribute being that it has a good name and would make people more likely to watch my film. Also being that film fits in with the type of films that they have distribute making it likely that they would distrbute me film and be able to make the film reach a wider audience.

Pictures its a subsidiary of Time Warner and has several subsidiary companies such as Warner Bros. Studios, Warner Bros. Pictures and more. Alonge with these Warner owns half of The CW Television Networks. In 2010 Warner Bros. Pictures broke the all-time worldwide box office record with redeipts of $4.814 billion brakeing the thier 2009 record of $4.010 billion. For the international box office they totaled $2.93 billion and this set a new benchmark and then donestically box office of $1.884 billion. This marked the 10th consective year that they have passed the billion dollar mark both domestic and international in box office. This is why I think that they would be a good media institution to distribute my product. I felt that they would disribute the my film being that they have distribute other films aimed at a simlar to audience to mine film and has a plot lines like mine. They distribute the film 'Cinderella Story'. This film stars Hilary Duff which is a well know teen film actress. I found this was an important part in to making the film appeal to the audience. I felt that film was similar to my opening in the way in used the titles. I chose a font that would appeal to my audience and link into the age of the characters in the film. The titles used in 'Cinderella Story' fitted in the with the plot and fairy tail style of the film. Having the right style of titles effects the way in which the film is seen. From my research I found that the style needs to fit in with the film and appeal to the audience. I also felt that the way in which I used mise-en-scene in my opening was successful and was something that my audience feedback said was done well in this film. The way in which the mis-en-scene was used in this opening reflected the main character. Looking at the costumes used the audience know the type of characters they were and the role they were play. This is similar to the way in which I used my costumes, using it in a stereotypical way that helps the audience to know who the characters were from the start.

From looking at this film I felt that the idea that I came up with for the film fits in with the genre and would be distribute by similar institution. Though I found that the style in which my film was in was different, this would make the film stand out from others. Though with this I think if I was to do this again them I would think about creating an opening that fit in more with real media. Which would also make it more likely to be distributed by a larger institution.
I found that choosing the right institution to distribute my film is important being that it will affect the way in which the film will reach the audience. The larger intuitions would be able to make my film reach a wider audience by the use of new media technology to distribute my film.
