Summarise Audience

From doing my research into the audience I found out who my target audience will be. The age of them would be from mid Tweens 11-14 to Teens 13-16 and over. Having this age means that I will need to put in things that will appeal to all of them. Also with this age I will have the age rating of 12 12A so that the younger side of my audience will be able to go and watch it. This is the type of age that you expert from my chosen genre. My target audience will be manly females which fit in with my chosen genre and knowing this most of my research was aimed at females. The demographic data for my audience will E and D for they will be students and unlikely to work or have a skilled job. Knowing who my audience is is important to making a successful film.

          

Knowing my target audience means that I will be able to appeal to them though my film by using the conventions of my genre. Having the characters in the film the same age as my target audience, doing this allows them to connect with them and help them to relate to the film. I will also have them relating to the location by using a school or location that the audience will know making the plot easier to follow. Along with keeping to some of the convention of the genre I will use a young style to appeal to them, doing this though the style of writing for the titles, the type of music I use, appealing to them by using up to date music that my audience might be listening too. Also the over all style of my opening I will try to keep young by using fast paced editing and other techniques that will represent their age.
