A company that produce films that are similar to the one I planed to make is Summit Entertainment. They are an independent film studio in California though they have offices in London as well. They were found in 1991 by film producers Bernd Eichinger, Arnon Milchan and Andrew G.Vajna. But it was not officially start till 1999 and they began using the name of Summit Entertainment LP as a production, distribution and sale organization. Outside the US they have distribution agreements with Entertainment One. This allows them within the UK to produced products and gives them a partner who will aggressively support Summits products in the UK . Along with this they have agreements around the globe with SND/M6 in France , Nordisk films in Scandinavia and with Tele-Muenchen in Germany and Austria.
In 2008 they were ranked 8th amongst other studios with a gross of $226.5 million this was partly because of the release of the film ‘Twilight’ and then in 2009 they were 7th with a gross of $482.5 million. When the sequel to ‘Twilight’ was released it broke box office records in its first weekend, grossing $142,839,137 million.
Other films that they have product or distributed were in 1998 ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’. Then along with these they prouced ‘The Hurt Locker’, ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’, ‘Sorority Row’. In 2009 they did ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ and‘Letters to Juliet’.
